Accidentally Dropped Off a UPS Package at a FedEx Drop Box

Exactly what the title says...I have a return that I was supposed to send through UPS but I accidentally dropped information technology off at a FedEx Drop Box. I tried calling FedEx but the lady didn't really empathize my situation.

I would not doubt that happens a lot but in order for a pickup to be completed information technology needs to be scanned and then I can exist recorded that it was picked up and I don't think FedEx and UPS use the same labels a peak of the label saying UPS and not proverb FedEx. Best instance scenario the FedEx driver realized his error and he will take it to the UPS drop off for you lot. Peradventure he will take it back to the FedEx drop off where he received information technology. Maybe he'll send it back to you lot. Simply it most likely simply ended up with the other outbound stuff and somewhen someone will have to browse information technology and realize it's not a FedEx package. This happens a lot at drib boxes. It honestly depends on the ever. I toss it into the UPS box but I've seen other leave it outside in the vicinity.

My station has a little pile of UPS packages behind the counter. If a courier brings 1 back from a drop box it goes into the pile. The UPS driver that delivers to us knows to check the pile when he delivers. The UPS hub does the same with our packages.

We also have each others local phone numbers (Thank goodness likewise because the UPS 1800 number is just as useless as ours) if the pile has sat for too long. Professional person courtesy and all that. It will get to UPS in fourth dimension.

I've personally seen UPS send a truck to the hub to pick upwards their stray packages.

Granted, I only saw this once simply the employee explaining to me why UPS was driving around the hub unescorted seemed to imply that this guy showed upwards regularly to accept UPS packages from united states and drop off FedEx boxes that had found their fashion into their system.
