Season 2 of Upload continued Nathan's (Robbie Amell) journeying in the digital afterlife, bringing him back to Lakeview to investigate his murder. Nate deciphered more clues, connecting his girlfriend'southward male parent, Oliver, and a rich resident'south consciousness at Lakeview, Mr. Choak, to a shady conspiracy. Realizing he needed to act quickly to cease them from appropriating his former coding work for their political gain, Nate partnered with his handler, Nora, producing a heed-bending ending.

Nate Returned to Life in Upload Flavor 2

Nate'due south code was stolen by Choak to create Freeyond, a digital afterlife where poor folks could upload their minds and live the rich Lakeview life. However, it was a trick because past 'killing' themselves, these people wouldn't be able to vote, allowing Choak'due south capitalists to take swing states. Nora ended up working with the anti-tech cult, the Ludds, and her ex, Matteo, to then infiltrate Neckgen.

They held Nate'south bratty girlfriend, Ingrid, at gunpoint and downloaded his consciousness into the torso. Ingrid was angry because she wanted Nate to be reborn to be a husband and father, non a freedom fighter. He dumped her gently, though, proving to a bitter Ingrid he was indeed in love with Nora. Nate'southward mission, however, wasn't true beloved but yet -- it was to apply his retinal scan to shut Freeyond's chief processors down, saving America.

Some other Nate Exists in Upload Season ii

Tinsley debuted this season every bit a temp handler (aka an affections) who used Nora's avatar to bond with Nate when he idea the existent Nora disappeared. Tinsley ended upward falling for Nate, growing jealous when Nora returned to Horizen and began working with Nate once again. Ingrid was institute rummaging through Nathan'due south boxes, grabbing a strand of hair from his brush. She promised she'd be together with him, vowing revenge on Nora as well. This tied into previous meetings with an agency that Ingrid wanted to use to give her and Nate a digital baby in the afterlife. However, she could apply the hair and her ain genetics to make a baby in the real globe.

It could even go wild like Black Mirror with Ingrid creating clones of Nate in the existent world, while using the fill-in copy to reshape his mind so put it into one or more of these bodies. Ultimately, it'southward setting up a re-create war in Lakeview and a clone war in reality. It'south somewhat sympathetic because Ingrid got over how her family mistreated her, wanting to be a improve mother and married woman than what she experienced as a teen.

Nate May Be Dying in Upload Season 2

The downloads into human bodies failed, ending with the subjects' heads being blown upwardly. Information technology's been successful on some pigeons, but it's a run a risk, which worried Nora. She and Nate thought he was the outlier, still, when he woke up. It's why they finally consummated their relationship, clearly in dearest and hoping for a time to come.

However, before Nate could head over to Freeyond, he saw a nosebleed in the bath mirror while Nora slept on the railroad train. This was a symptom foreshadowing his head would explode. The flavor ended there, placing Nate on a countdown which sadly came right when he thought he constitute happiness.
